Traidcraft Bauble Gift Wrap and Tags Set (5 Sheets and Tags)
This set of five fair trade handmade paper gift wrap sheets has an all-over festive bauble design printed in metallic inks. One each of red, purple, pink, grey and black backgrounds and matching tags. From an organisation in Nepal providing employment for over 100 people. Made in Nepal by Get Paper Industries.

GPI is a company set up in 1984 with a loan from the World Bank. Originally, it made paper from lokta for the local market. In 1988 it began trading with Body Shop and its market was exclusively export for some years. It also began using more environmentally-friendly raw materials (waste cotton from garment factories and waste paper from local businesses), because lokta use was linked to deforestation. Employee have grown from about 20 to over 100 (80% women), all in permanent jobs. Products are made from a variety of raw materials including cotton rags, waste paper along with banana tree stems, water hyacinth and jute.

Founded in 1996 by a group of international nongovernmental organizations, Craft Link works with artisans in an effort to generate income, with a focus on ethnic minorities, street children and artisans with disabilities.
Craft Link works closely 47 artisan groups, involving 5,000 artisans in northern Vietnam. Craft Link sells artisans' textiles, stone and smoked bamboo handicrafts locally at a shop in Hanoi and exports their Fair Trade handicrafts to fair trade organizations and commercial companies around the world.
The organization's goals include cultural preservation, income generation for small Vietnamese artisans and acquiring new markets in a changing economy. Artisans working with Craft Link receive tools, interest free loans, education, training and literacy classes.
